Shelbyville Captures Lead Early To Defeat Indian Creek Braves Varsity

Indian Creek Braves Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Shelbyville on Thursday. Shelbyville took the lead on a home run in the first inning.

The Indian Creek Braves Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Shelbyville, giving up ten runs.

Shelbyville got on the board in the first inning. Weaver hit a solo homer.

One bright spot for Indian Creek Braves Varsity was a single by Kasey Wilhoit in the first inning.

Henry earned the victory in the circle for Shelbyville. She allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Jacqui Button took the loss for Indian Creek Braves Varsity. She allowed eight hits and seven runs over two innings, walking one.

Shelbyville socked two home runs on the day. Weaver went deep in the first inning. Campton had a homer in the second inning.
