Indian Creek Braves Varsity Can’t Hold Up Against Edgewood

Indian Creek Braves Varsity had trouble keeping up with Edgewood in an 11-5 loss on Tuesday.
Edgewood opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored two runs for Edgewood.

Edgewood took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Figg tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Edgewood, an error scored one run for Edgewood, and Bretvald singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Edgewood scored five runs in the fifth inning. Figg, Minnick, and Robertson each had RBIs in the big inning.

Robertson pitched Edgewood to victory. She went three innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out two. Burkhart threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Alley Fleener took the loss for Indian Creek Braves Varsity. She went four and a third innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and striking out four.

Indian Creek Braves Varsity totaled 11 hits. Talea Bowling, Delaney Heminger, Jozie Farris, and Emily Tudor each had multiple hits for Indian Creek Braves Varsity. Bowling led Indian Creek Braves Varsity with three hits in four at bats.
Edgewood tallied 13 hits on the day. Figg, Minnick, Robertson, and Schapker all managed multiple hits for Edgewood.
