Girls finish in 5th place to advance to the semi state for the FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY!!
Phoebe Dowty, Luci Woodrum, Paige Iaria, Amanda Ulerick, & Hannah Seitzinger were the scoring 5 for the Lady Braves. Kiley Breeden wrapped up things for us in a solid effort.
Woodrum, Iaria, Ulerick, & Seitzinger all ran personal record races at the right time. Running the race of their lives when it mattered most for their team. Unbelievable day for all of these ladies.
Seitzinger who has run in the number seven spot all season, was the X Factor, as she stepped up big time with a massive PR on Saturday.
Through belief, determination, and hard work this was made possible. These girls have worked relentlessly all season long to achieve this goal. Being the first girls XC team to do this is a major accomplishment & Coach Devine could not be more proud of this group.
The type of leadership our senior girls (Woodrum & Breeden) bring to the table every day is a MAJOR reason that this was accomplished. This type of leadership is extremely rare & so well appreciated from a coaching standpoint. These two will be incredible in whatever they do in life moving forward.
Catch us in action this Saturday at the semi-state meet in Shelbyville!!
