Girls advance to the regional meet as a team for the first time since 2009. Placing 4th place at the sectional meet.
Phoebe Dowty led the way for the Lady Braves in great fashion as she placed 4th overall. She was outstanding in setting the tone for her teammates and helping us make a strong push as a group into 4th place.
Luci Woodrum (21st) Paige Iaria (22nd) Kiley Breeden (30st) & Amanda Ulerick (31st) rounded out the scoring 5 for the Lady Braves. All four of these girls ran their hearts out for each other and were competitive from start to finish.
Woodrum & Iaria were stellar as they pushed each other until the very end. Look for all four of these ladies to PR at the regional meet.
Paxton Marshall & Hannah Seitzinger rounded out the top 7 for us.
Marshall who is competing despite having a stress fracture in her leg, ran incredibly well. Her teammates & coaches are so proud of her effort and resilience.
This group works so hard & have so much fun in the process, which is what makes them so special. Nobody wants it more or deserves this success more than these 7 girls.
Saturday was an amazing day to be a Brave, as we did something that has not been done in over a decade. Now, onto regionals this Saturday 10/17 as we look to make school history by being the first Girls XC team to advance to the semi-state meet.
Catch the Lady Braves in action at Franklin Community High School on Saturday.
