The middle school girls golf team found a way to defeat the Whiteland Warriors in a six hole match Wednesday afternoon by three shots 139 to 142. The Braves played without their number three golfer 6th grader Ciara Green who sat out the match due to a back injury. That meant that either the number five or six player had to step up and provide a score. The 6th position golfer was the one that gave the Braes the boast they needed to defeat the Warriors. That golfer was 6th grader Christole Baugh who shot a 43. The Braves were lead by overall medalist Hannah Emenhiser with a 27. Hannah had three crucial one putts from distance that provided her with the top honor for the match by one shot. Gracee Meredith hit her first tee shot on the green on hole one a 200 yard par four which set up an easy par to get her round started. She eventually would finish third overall with a 31. Tarra Turnmire fired a 38 finishing her round with a solid birdie on the 6th hole. Rounding out the scoring for the Braves was Alianna Short who shot a 48. The 4-0 Braves will have a week off before they battle their toughest competition of the year the Center Grove North Trojans at Bluff Creek on September 10th.
