The last home match of the Middle school girls golf season was played Thursday afternoon. This was the last middle school home match for three eighth graders. Hannah Emenhiser, Tarra Turnmire, and Alianna Short concluded this match with a win over Decatur Central 130 to an incomplete team due to only having three players. The Braves top three scores still defeated the Decatur Central’s top three by 32 shots.
The Braves were lead by Hannah Emenhiser who shot an even par 24 which is a career best score for her during a six hole match. Hannah had an Eagle putt on her last hole after her tee shot landed on the green. A great way to conclude her round with an easy two putt birdie. Gracee Meredith fired a four over 28. She had four pars on her round. Alianna Short had her best score of the year with a 36, and she recorded her first par ever. Tarra Turnmire shot a 42, and Christole Baugh shot a 46.
The 6-1 Braves will finish the season next week with matches on Tuesday at Bluff Creek against Center Grove and Wednesday at Franklin. They will also challenge the boys team in a match Monday at Tameka Woods.
*note – Decatur Central’s score is not the actual score due to them not having enough players
