After Braves scored one run in the top of the sixth, Monrovia answered with one of their own. Braves scored when Devyn Parr grounded out, scoring one run. Monrovia then answered back before ending the inning.
Braves put up three runs in the seventh inning. Braves offense in the inning was led by Dustin Sprong and Trevor Ankney, all driving in runs in the frame.
Phillips took the loss for Braves. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out 12.
