Braves defeated Lebanon 6-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Mitchell Walls induced a groundout from Garrett Harker to finish off the game.
Braves secured the victory thanks to four runs in the first inning. Dustin Sprong, Trevor Ankney, and Devyn Parr all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
In the first inning, Braves got their offense started when Sprong singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Sprong pitched Braves to victory. He lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out ten. Walls threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Braves racked up eight hits in the game. Xavier Ferris, Sprong, and Wyatt Phillips each racked up multiple hits for Braves. Phillips, Sprong, and Ferris each collected two hits to lead Braves. Braves didn’t commit a single error in the field.
