Braves scored six runs in the sixth on its way to an 11-2 victory over Center Grove on Tuesday. Braves batters contributing to the big inning included Xavier Ferris, Mason Britt, and Wyatt Phillips, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Braves got on the board in the second inning when Devyn Parr grounded out, scoring one run.
Braves notched six runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Braves was led by Ferris, Britt, and Phillips, who all drove in runs.
Trevor Ankney got the win for Braves. He surrendered two runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out five. Dustin Sprong threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen
Braves smacked one home run on the day. Phillips had a homer in the sixth inning.Sprong led Braves with two hits in two at bats. Braves was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error.
