Game Recap
Indian Creek defeated Franklin 1-0. The Braves only had 2 hits in the game, Michaela Smith had a single in the bottom of the thrid and Brittney Dugan had a double in the sixth. A passed ball gave Dugan the chance to advance to third, Franklin tried to catch her but overthrew the ball and Dugan was then able to cross home plate. A big part of Indian Creek’s win tonight was the work of their defense. Dori Knight pitched a shutout, giving up only 2 hits and the outfield trio of Zoey Gatton, Sydney Williams, and Kasey Wilhoit had 6 catches.
Indian Creek JV lost to Franklin 5-6 in a five inning game. Cailin Pickett pitched a solid game and the defense made many key outs to keep Franklin to 6 runs. The Braves were trailing 1-6 going into the bottom of the fifth. Sara Knight and Sarah Kindley both hits doubles with runners on base to bring the score to 5-6, but Franklin was able to make the final out to win the game.
The Braves are back at home tomorrow night at 5:30 against Cardinal Ritter
